Cotswold photographer wins award.

Kevin Smith of Childswickham not only took first prize for both the landscape and pictoral categories and highly commended in the wedding section at the Master Photographers Association West Midlands Awards, but he was also named 2010 Photographer of the Year.
Judges were wowed by Kevin’s “simply exquisite” entries, which included shots of lavender fields near Snowshill and a wedding in Bibury.
He said: “It feels wonderful to be acknowledged for my work by my contemporaries. I love photographing weddings and have a passion for producing fine art images of rural life and the landscape.
“In recent years, I have been introducing fine art imagery into my wedding photography. Our wedding clients love to have something a little esoteric to put up on the walls to remind them of their wedding day.”
Kevin has already established himself as an award-winning photographer, having beaten a field of the UK and Europe’s finest to win UK Photographer of the Year at the 2009 National Photographic Awards.
